Description

During this session we will be looking at how to create activities to engage and inspire young people as well as covering the all important safeguarding and health & safety guidelines that you will have to follow when working with young people. We will introduce you to tried and tested event formats which you could apply to your specialism, you should leave this session with a few ideas that you could develop further. The session will be split into a mixture of presentations delivered by the STEM Hub, practical group work and table based activities. You should also have the opportunity for some networking with other Ambassadors.


This session is open to all Ambassadors from any background


If you are new to the STEM Ambassador programme or your DBS has expired and are in need of an ID Check as part of the DBS Application process then the STEM Hub can check your ID for you during this session. All attendees should have completed the Induction process, either online or in person.


About the venue: This venue is walking distance from the train station. Please come by public transport if you can. There are some (paid for) council parks within the area, but street parking is limited to 2 hours. We would not advise parking at Taunton train station as it is all day parking only.
